As I contemplate what to keep or throw out for next year, I am getting really excited about the opportunities already presenting themselves. So far more than 140 different participants have signed up for the Global Read Aloud! That means we will be connecting with even more people this time. The book this year will be "Tuck Everlasting" which I am very excited to share with the kids, even if they have read it before. Another exciting opportunity is one that I am working on with a 5th grade teacher in Seoul, Korea. We are hoping to do some science and social studies collaboration. Have I ever said that I have the best job in the world?

5th Grade Supply List
The 5th Grade supply list has not been determined yet so please do not buy supplies too soon. We will be meeting in July to discuss it and then will get it up on the website. Until then, just enjoy your summer, and don't forget you can reuse your leftover supplies from last year as well!

Our Care Package
Yesterday I had the time to finally mail our care packages to Paul in Afghanistan. It turned out to be 45 pounds of goodies for him and his fellow soldiers. I showed my parents all of the stuff and they could not believe how generous all of you had been, so once again, thank you! I will let you know when it shows up in Afghanistan!
